Finishing Strong

‘‘There is something for you to start that is destined for you to finish. Take care of your purpose and the end will take care of itself.’’ -MYLES MUNROE

Hard work might not pay by the week, neither does it pay at the end of the month but one thing is sure, it surely pays at the end. We must be believers of the end, because that is what really matters. Even the Holy Bible says that the reward is kept for only those who are able to endure to the end. Therefore we must choose to become famous for finishing small important and difficult task; and not just for starting great things only.

How do you endure till the end?

It is pertinent to note that even God has already finished everything he began and that is why He declares the end from the beginning. And because we have the nature of God we should emulate God to be good finishers. But finishing strong requires diligence, resilience, and persistence. To finish strong therefore you must be willing to hang in there a little bit longer. It has been stated that; it is not how well you started but how well you finish.

Why is finishing seeming difficult?

Nothing good comes just by the way. Starting is usually not as difficult as finishing. You might not require any skill to start but you need skill to finish. That is the reason why many have been known for not finishing. You cannot leave a landmark if you dont’ finish your assignment. No award is given for starting well but finishing well. You were destined to finish that thing you started. If you have started it you should finish it. You must realise that whatever you want to do in life will require these important elements: decision, determination and discipline.

1. DECISION:

Decision making is one of the most important factors you will need to finish strong. You cannot finish strong if you never began well after all. The quality of your decision invariably becomes very pertinent to make very wise informed plans and set very proper and achievable goals. Decision directs your focus and energies. So if you make poor decision in life, you would definitely end up channelling your energies wrongly.

2. DETERMINATION

Determination is the fuel or gas that is needed to drive the wheels of the decision that we have made. You cannot reach or finish strong just because your goals were clearly outlined. Determination requires process; and it takes time to process things. You don’t reach your goals because you were willing to pursue them but you reach them by following the due process. The willingness to pursue your goals come from the understanding of the price it takes and what is required to finish strong. Determination is an invaluable ingredient to finishing strong.

3. DISCIPLINE

Discipline is having a controlled behaviour and self control that in the long run become a systematic method of achieving our set goals. Discipline is the hallmark of any achievement, be it academics, sports, career or even our faith. That is why every religion teaches discipline as an underlining factor for spiritual growth. Personally I see discipline as not just doing those things you have to do but the ability to follow certain set of rules and regulations until you conform to certain success habits.

Conclusions

In conclusion, for you to finish strong you must be willing to start with the end view. That is called the power of vision. Good grades, great careers, and enviable laurels are not designed to be the exclusive of certain individuals but for the ones who start with the end in view. You too can finish strong. You have all it takes to finish strong! So brace up!
